Hello this is Pastor James with Liberty Holiness Church in

Rom 6:5  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Rom 6:6  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Rom 6:7  For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Rom 6:8  Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

 

May I ask you what is more powerful than bringing something that is completely dead to life? - when there is no process, technology, or capability to bring to life.  God does it.  He give the power to not only save a soul which is dead and bring that soul to life.  God, through the resurrection of His Son (Jesus), has the power to give us victory over sin.

God gives power to rise above addictions and give us Godly characteristics.  Jesus says "If you love me, Keep my commandments". He also instructs us to live a victorious life.  You don't have to sin everyday.  If you hear that preached, run, as they have a powerless God.  God is all powerful and His children have the living resurrection power inside of them.
