About Us

“Liberty Holiness Church is pleased to serve the community. We are Pentecostal in experience, Trinitarian in doctrine, and Holiness in standard. We are pleased to offer forthsight and faith to all to all that have their hearts open and wanting to let God in. Below we have provided some questions and answers to help give a vision to our mission and hope in our devotion to God and You.”

1. What is the vision for Liberty Holiness Church?

God can do anything! Our vision to let God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost have his way in our services, our community, and in our lives to build, expand, and grow the kingdom of God. I can envision people getting touched, growing, receiving strength, being healed or saved. An old time church, like grandma and grandpa had, with people having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through a prayer service God moved and provided us a tag line. "Real People. Real Needs. Real God". I don't know what every individual has gone through, or is going through - God does. Our world is filled with self desires and directives resulting in many processes, programs, problems and challenges. I believe God is looking for a people to keep it real and let God have His way - in our lives, actions, and desires. Not our desires to have our way with God.  The truth is we all need Gods help for our lives in order to live for Him and do good.  Many people need strength, hope, healed, saved, blessed.  I could envision God making a way and opening doors/buildings/ministries to serve the youth, families having hardships, rest homes.   A gym and kitchen to use for minitries.  A place for God to move and to replace selfish desires with Godly desires and serve our community with various ministries.  Changed lives, healings, Godly fellowship.   Not becoming a result of our society but becoming a result of Godly living. Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

2. What ministries have Pastor James been involved with since being Born Again?

I have been involved in churches to fulfill almost every position from greeter, to musician, teacher of all age groups, prayer partners, hospital / home visitations, retirement center ministries, various homeless ministries, food bank, deacon, youth leaders, and education director. I've also volunteered for the community working for other organizations like the Salvation Army. During Katrina I was third shift lead in Denver serving food at Lowry AFB. I have worked with homeless shelters (like Jesus Saves) to provide services. As a musician, I travelled with singing group for four years. Always with a heart to reach out in love so God can save, strengthen, and encourage.

3. What separates Liberty Holiness Church from other churches?

Liberty Holiness Tabernacle is a trinitarian independent pentecostal holiness church (old time church). It is a place where God can have his way in peoples lives and change us. Independent holiness pentecost is thriving in the bible belt but anemic in the western US.  We live in a world where organizations that have created their own religion or bible are doing outreach (mormonism, jehovah witness, apostolic, etc) and have grown.   God is the same today, yesterday, and forever!  Even folks holding on to true core doctrine (Father, Jesus the son, and Holy Ghost) use americanized versions of Gods word.  Our country was birthed in God, KJV, and good living/instruction from Gods word.  The results of our fast paced and fast changing society is people changing good living from the bible, changing doctrine, and changing the Bible to convienient gods.  In short, LIberty Holiness Tabernacle is an old time penecostal church that believes God can save a life, change a persons direction, and cause people to live right and try to make it to heaven by doing Gods will.

Gods ways are higher that our ways. When it comes to salvation - it is whosoever will.  When it comes to heaven - not everyone that says lord, lord shall enter.  Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God

Again - all of us need Gods help in Gods way.  Paul said "if there was hope in this life only, we would be of men most miserable."   So, come as you are and feel free to worship, listen to God, and allow Him to change us to be more like Him

4. What goals does Liberty Holiness Church have to reach out to others in the area and in the future?

God will move and open doors directing us how to reach others and we will follow Him.  By faith, i can see a Godly facility for young people to play, fellowship, and give God glory.  or a building that would bless single parent struggling families, veterans, and the elderly with assistance, food, housing.  A community blessed with prayers, healings, concerts/singings (spirit filled and good living).  and many outreach groups to give the hope of Jesus Christ.   Hospital ministries, mens/womens ministries, childrens ministries.  In short, whatever God leads to bring salvation, hope, and strength to our community.  God can do anything !  We would like the world to know that God doesn't change and isn't driven by our desires or society.  But God is God and can envision people giving control of their lives and will up to the almighty.  We can have a facility where legalized drugs, sexual sins, and violence are not allowed and don't pressure people toward society ways.  The USA is a beautiful country started and built by God and we want God to have glory, honor, and praise by letting him change lives and having an old time spirit filled church in the west.  Society will show you people that say thank you to the man upstairs after they mention alchohol, drugs, or cuss.  God has the power to help us.

Jas 2:24  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

5. Details about the Liberty Holiness tag line "Real People. Real Needs. Real God."

This saying was an outcome of a prayer meeting. Our world is filled with human ideas, programs, and processes; all of which are good in various circumstances. However, our dependence has moved to the daily grind of falling into the system and away from a relationship with God.

We know that you, needs, and God exists. But rather more of a genuine. We see humanistic gods or gods that are convienient and fast paced.  We need a genuine place where God can reach down and help our lives without the dependence of the worlds ways, processes, or human dependance. We want to emphasize that God has liberty to convict, strengthen, and direct our lives.  It truly is all about Him and what He wants to do in our lives.

God is meeting spiritual needs. There is hope! Come refresh your soul. Let God help you grow. Holiness to the Lord! Give yourself another chance with God. "Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty"

Come worship and hear what God has for you where there is Real People. Real Needs. Real God.
